However this can prove to be a losing proposition for you as you will not be able to get what your car actually deserves. For these reasons there is a need for a standard...

Electrical Gremlins by BAC
My daughter's 1972 Beetle has recently developed intermittent electrical faults, namely occasionally blowing a fuse when the left hand indicator is used, and sounding the horn by itself when going round a tight mini-island. Any ideas as to what might be at the root of these problems?

AirCooled.org.uk (AC) is a web directory catering for both classic Volkswagen and Porsche businesses - those that associate themselves with 4 and 6 cylinder aircooled models and sell whole cars, parts and accessories, or who service, rebuild and restore. Hi, Anyone know is the Jim Muir engine sounds are still available anywhere? The link I had is dead and can't find it on google anywhere. Would be horrible to think we'd lost it as a resource. Maybe there are better/newer files available now, if so can you point me in the right direction please?

Opened up volume screw hole in carb... HELP! by Brad
Hey all, Was rebuilding my Bocar 34 Pict/3 Carb and seem to have overtightened the volume screw. I never felt it bottom out (so maybe it was done prior to my rebuilding?) and it stripped some of the threads. Does this necessitate a new carb or can in still be adjusted properly, just without the advantage of knowing where it was supposed to seat so I could turn in back out the required 2 1/2...

1961 Engline lid (semi W differences) by Dave Angel
Hi all, I have finally managed to get hold of a 1961 Beetle (UK). I am just checking the authenticity of body panels and notice that the 'Semi W' engine lid appears to be like a 1966 (with only part of the top 'W' showing above the light). I think the lid should have more of the top part showing which the popes nose light fixes too. Should it be like...
