Hi All, Just got myself a Generic Third brake light, the manufacturer is Hella. I am trying to install it into a Golf 3 build year 1993. I am trying to 'wire' this thing in but i'm not having much luck, so i was hoping someone might be able to help out. The install instructions aren't much use as its a generic third brake light, however i do have the Haynes Manual.

The light on the dash glows slightly as soon as the ignition is on. When I TRY to turn and indicate the light on the dash comes on ful....bit doesnt flash! The hazards work fine but the indicators don't! Like a steering wheel down my pants, it's driving me nuts! Any ideas??

I have just had a look at my car and there appears to be some paint overspray on the door above the painted area... on the black type stuff around the door window. As this is not a painted surface, what can i use to remove this paint? Any help greatly appreciated.

If you hold down the Auto button on the climate control and then press Econ (whilst still holding down Auto), the display changes to deg F. If you then hold down the Econ button and press Auto the display changes back to deg C. Also, the display on the dashboard changes at the same time. Probably useless information but apparently you can make the climate display road speed and other data.

The idle speed is OK, but the power available is near 0 once I set it into gear. It almost can't even drag the car up to speed before the engine is warmed up. VW Sharan - 1998 - 2.8 Carat Se (Manual) The air con panel on the dash will flash all the symbols etc.. for around 30 secs then will stop and it will show the fan speeds etc... as normal any ideas what is making it flash on and off as it has been ok until last night. Thanks In advance Martin
