I've been given a load of numbers for the Gamma radio code. Can anyone tell
me whether the code consists of a series of four numbers or twelve? Thanks

seat ibiza, 1996, 1043cc aau by
objineedhelp
Background. Car bought with 66k miles. During heavy rain the engine would
'splutter' but clear itself and continue. Splash panels fitted, problem
resolved. Car hard to start. Sounds like no 'talk' between ign key and
ECU? Eventually fired and ran / started for 4 days, problem free, then
problem returned. Wire blocks around inlet manifold removed and replaced,
no luck. Removed ign key and inserted...

golf 20valve turbo oil pressure by
someone
just had a job in on one of these where the camshaft sprocket has broken its
keyway and moved round the camshaft resulting in 8 damaged exhaust valves.
in the process of repairing the head at the moment, but still at a loss as
to why this has occured, i am inclined to think that lack of oil pressure
has caused the camshafts to partially sieze, thus putting stress on the
keyway, i cant understand...

VW Sevice Monkeys by
James Weatherley
Had my Passat in for the recall inspection and an MOT on Friday at
Hartwell Birmingham. Today I filled up my windscreen washer tank as it
had been beeping away over the weekend. Lift up the bonnet and I find
there's a screwdriver lying jammed up against some pipes! It doesn't
inspire much confidence in their ability to put the car back together
again. I guess I'll give it back to them when...

Hi by
Matt North
Just joined the VW club.
Got a Mk4 Golf GTi 1.8T '02 plate.
Not as quick as I thought it might be, but its a whole lotta fun to drive
:-)
Bit annoyed that the '52 onwards has 180bhp; does anyone know how much
quicker it is???

I found this great little site by
I found this great little site
I found this great little site. I signed up two weeks ago and got 2 Disney tickets and this week they are sending me 2 Universal Studios tickets. Here's the link http://66.219.102.40/ and by the way I am a real person, this is my real email address. I'm not a spammer and didn't appreciate the nasty email I got last time I tried to post this link.
Thanks,...

Aftermarket heater matrix problem? by
John
A few months ago I replaced the heater matrix in my Mk 2 Scirocco. It was an
after-market part, but looked very similar to the original (similar number
of fins etc).
Anyway, with the recent cold weather I've noticed the air from the heater
isn't very hot. On the lowest fan setting it's luke warm at best - on the
highest setting it's stone cold. The engine running temperature is fine, the...

Seat Ibiza freezing door locks by
gee920
Hi there,
I am the proud owner of a 2001 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Chill. Everything is fine
until it gets frosty, one or two of the doors won't open. I've rubbed
silicon grease into the seals so they don't stick. I am sure that the
problem is internal, something in the lock mechanism is freezing. Has
anyone had this problem before and if so, how do I remedy it?
Many thanks ,

Green mould by
Tod
I have to park my car near trees most of the time, and apart from getting
leaves and pine needles into every conceivable crevice, I also get a fine
green mould appearing on the rubberwork eg sun roof rim and at the foot of
each window. Any hints on discouraging this life-form? I'm reluctant to use
anything really powerful in case it spoils the adjacent paintwork (and the
rubber itself, I...

Passat sunroof in a Corrado? by
Mr Lovebuckets Exploding Tonic Water
Hi,
I have a 91 Corrado with a dodgy sunroof, (surprise, surprise!).
Can anyone out there tell me if a sunroof from a 1994 Passat will fit a 1991 Corrado? If it does, will it need any mods?
Thanks in advance,
Mr Lovebucket.

I have obtained an original equipment electric window "kit".
I've got as far as installing the main loom to the fuse box and
distributing to each door, and I've installed the regulator in one door.
Can anyone advise on what connections are made to the fuse box, where
and how etc.?
Here's what I have (with details according to Haynes wiring diagrams):
-Red/Yellow (2.5): Power In - this wire is...

Leaky Jettas?? by
Ade Evans
Two days ago I scrapped my third Jetta. This one had done 210,000
miles...70,000 with me...and had NEVER let me down. I drive like a mental
and this car took it all. It ALWAYS started first time, every time.
However, like every Jetta I've had there were problems. They leak! The
last three have ALL leaked! The one I've just scrapped had water in the
boot, on the floor in the back AND on...

New Golf cruise control by
Shrike
Afternoon all!
I'm looking at ordering the New Golf 2.0 TDi and am mulling over the
optional extras. I'd like to get cruise control but I've heard that it
has been a bit flaky in the past. Is this true or was it just
a problem on older models?
Thanks,
Gareth
