could anyone please help me? I have a 2001 VW Bora tdi 130bhp and i can be driving and lose my turbo power completely and becomes very sluggish and drives like a normally asparated car. I pull over switch off engine re start it and i have full power back and turbo works fine? Anyideas people? Please help if you can. Thanks.

Sometimes at start-up a low rumbling / vibration type noise from the engine compartment occurs, lasting about 20 secs. No warning lights show and the noise can happen with hot or cold engine, but not every time. Oil level correct and changed on schedule. The car perfoms normally afterwards. Anyone any ideas? Thanks. I've had my 1998 Golf GTI 1.8T a few weeks and since owning it I've noticed a slight noise every time I lift off the throttle. It's not a loud dump valve wheeze that you hear on some cars.
