New Polo: Action radius?? by
Kristof
Hi
I have a new Polo and it has a "board computer". There is one indication
that I don't know what it is or means... it's called "action radius" and it
shows as "xxx KM ..." and ends in a fuel icon. I thought that it meant how
many km you can drive untill you have to refuel, but the km are adding up
instead of counting down....
Does anyone know what it means??

Scirocco engine transplant by
DocDelete
I've got two Sciroccos - a 1988 GTX and a 1992 GTII. One has excellent
bodywork, the other (unusually for these cars) is shot rust-wise. Guess
which!
I've a mind to stick the injected GTX engine etc. into the GTII. I guess
this won't be that easy...

MK3 Golf Tyre Size?? by
bryan
Hi,
I have a MK3 Golf 1.8CL. The tyre front tyres need badly replaced so I
though I would order some from the mytyres.co.uk website. When I was
checking the tyres for the size I noticed the front ones were different from
the back ones. The front are 175/70/R13 and back ones are 165/70/R13. Is
this correct or should the both be the same and what size should they be??
Any help appreciated!!

A5 Golf by

Just saw the A5 Golf in www.vwvortex.com , looks like the 306 or the Honda
Jazz.
I reckon the VW designers are loosing the plot.
I'm OK with the 5-door but the 3-door definitely looks Honda (the rear side
window shape is what does it).

Typically, it takes about 500 miles for the coolant level in the

tested OK just a couple of weeks back, so I'm pretty sure it's...

A5 Golf by
Rob Guenther
I haven't seen either of the cars you have mentioned (I live in north
america).... I think the A5 looks like the natural evolution of the A4... it
looks GREAT, IMO. Tho I love my 99 A4 TDI, and I think the styling of my old
car, a 91 A2 looked pretty decent as well.
The A4's are the best looking ones out of all of them, especially on the
Jetta, they really hit the nail on the head with the...

Question Scraping the bottom of a Bora in a Car Park by
AA
Hello,
This may be a strange question but my friend just drove my 2002 Bora in a
car park and scraped the bottom of the entire car by going over 3 concrete
block strips i.e.Those that stop the car from going too far forward in in
a car spot.
The stupid thing is that after he drove over one, he went and drove over 2
more.

Jetta 1.6 diesel turbo? by
Stewart DIBBS
Hi,
my brother-in-law has recently acquired an 83 Vanagon Diesel with a dead
gasoline engine, plus a running Jetta 1.6D engine, about 92 vintage. This
engine has an exhaust turbine that drives a compressor (?) that blows air
into the intake. There is no intercooler, and I seem to recall that the 1.6
is not really a turbocharged engine. I also seem to recall that there is a
real turbo 1,8D...
