I am thinking of fitting one of the uprated ECU chips I keep seeing on Ebay to my 2002 100bhp TDI Golf, do they work , will it blow up? Any answers greatfully received

All - I have a 99 Passat (v) with central locking and the "comfort function" on the key (with an legthened turn of the key the windows open/close). I have bought a Cobra central locking interface that supports this function too.
