Thank you to all that responded. Let it be known that I have now bought and tried 3 different torq sets all with a hole up the middle. None fitted I have however got the MAF out by low cunning and adaptation, and it was spotlessly clean at 30K miles. Oh well! Treat it as a learning situation from which others may benefit.

I need to replace a leaking matrix on a Mk 2 Scirocco. The procedure in Haynes is to remove the centre consoles, then remove the heater housing, blower fan, and matrix as a complete unit. Hi, Just failed the MOT on my 1990 MK1 Cabrio. The left hand rear brake is only working half as well as the right hand side. I've got the drum and shoes in front of me and need a second opinion!
