Rear Electric window won't open, basic I know ;-) by River Rat_London
Hi, I know this is probably a bit basic but my drivers side rear window on my Mk3 Golf Estate, 1997 won't open. I've checked the fuses and they seem to be ok Is there something else I need to check? Sorry for such a basic question.

Measuring camber by toddi
Anyone know of a do-it-yourself way of measuring front wheel camber (on a Mk2 Golf)? Something ingenious with mirrors, blu-tac and torch light beams perhaps - a method too flimsy and time-consuming for everyday professional garage use, but perfectly acceptable for an enthusiastic amateur? Tod

Faulty Indicator on Golf Mk1 Cabrio 1992 by Scott
Hi group, hope you can help. Having problems with the front passenger side indicator on a K reg Golf Rivage Cabriolet. The indicator isn't working & the indicator dashboard light flashes double time - manula says this indicates a fault, but not necessarily where. Tried the obvious - fuses ok, swapped out the relay with a relay from a golf that I know works, and tied changing the bulb - no luck.

1995 VW Golf CL(?) (sorry for the cross-post!!) by lilmissgiggles
I just purchased my first car, a 95 VW Golf (I think it's a CL...), for $2500 CDN (someone said I got it for about half price, but then that I'd probably be spending the difference just fixing the car up!!!) and being your average chick I know very little about cars - but I'm determined to learn!!! The other day I pulled off one of the covers on the dash/instrument panel just above the...

MK4 Golf Peroidic squeaky noise by chris
Hi All, My 1.6 Golf squeaks from the back wheels when cruising without touching any pedals, it squeaks for a split seconds and has a quite interval of ~1.5 seconds, soon as I put my foot on either the brake or accelerator it disappeared. It starts soon as foot lift of the accelerator. I tried to turn off the ESP but does the same. It's like this from day 1 when the car was bought from new,...

Hi, 99 T Passat TDi Failed on lower front suspension arm in Pre MOT. I have read that there was a recall regarding the front suspension arms. Has anyone any information on if it was recalled for replacement or inspection? The car has done 107,000 miles with full VW dealer service history. Any information would be appreciated.

MK5 golf cd changer - aux/line in by banzai
Anybody managed to find a supplier for an aux lead into the cd changer socket in the new golf ? Is a cd changer cable fitted as standard (i.e. up to the front centre armrest such that if you opted for the cd changer then it would just plug into a socket under the armrest)

Clutch problem? Transmission? Any thoughts? by Mark Currie
Hello all. I was on my way home from work last night (in my '84 Jetta GL, turbo diesel) and went to downshift at a set of lights. I let off the clutch and I heard a "clunk" and then nothing. I rolled forward and the front end of the car shook until I stopped. I tried to release the clutch again and it shook and stopped. So, I pushed the car back to a safe spot and ended up leaving it for the...

MK2 Golf 16v issues.... by Michael Mc
I've a MK2 1985 Golf GTi 16v (engine swap...used to be 8v) and I'm starting to pruce him up for summer! I've a few issues... 1) Water collection in the passenger well under seat. I've heard this could be the matrix - any other ideas? 2) The engine oil light comes on when the car heats up but is off otherwise when cold. I thought this might be wrong oil and it getting too thin when the car...
