I am in the middle of converting a 1998 1.0lt polo hatch to power steering. I obtained a complete kit but I am having problems threading the pipework through the bit and bobs under the bonnet. I know where the ends go but does anyone have pictured from the parts book or manual that shows the routing.. Thanks Ken

I recently did a trip of 323 miles in my beloved golf mk 2 1.6 driver at a steady 70+/-5 I managed 51.23mpg, is this a rare thing to get MPG like this? cos other,later, more 'efficent' cars I've owned haven't come close. technaically, golf driver 1.6 weber conversion (34dtml i believe) no front box on exhaust(sorry for earlier post it sits in the centre of the car!)

Anyone know how to undo the large electrical connector connecting the engine loom to the car on a VR6 engine (95 Corrado in this case) ? There seem to be 2 red lines on what seem to be the 2 bits that should come apart. I have a '04 Touran (130ps TDi) with 15500 miles, and the front tires need replacing, already! Does any one else suffer tire wear like this on the Touran. The manufacture recommended tire pressure are a little high, and the wear Patten on my tyres is consistent with overinflation. I do a large amount of motorway driving, could this as cause the premature wear?

Hi - I posted a while ago about mk2 GTI poor performance. Since then I've replaced the tappets (vast improvement to engine smoothness and noise!), leads, plugs, 'cap and 'arm. I've got a problem. The car starts on the button, idles fine, but has this curious flat spot after about 1200 rpm, where it seems to be hunting, and then picks up about 3000rpm, where some but not all of the engine...

I have an 83 Westfalia. I'm losing coolant with no external visible indication. How can I determine or, if the Godz be with me, eliminate warped heads as the culprit?
