Default Cambelt\waterpump\idler\tensioner change cost ?

Its come to that time again to have the cambelt changed. I've been using
a local vw specialist who do the jobs I can't like this one. I got a few
quotes today and the vw specialist quoted me £246.75 for the cambelt,
waterpump, idler, tensioner, g12 coolant and if brought in by 9 will be
given back to me by 5 ? does that sounds a good price ? (seems
reasonable to me) and using genuine parts as vw sell a kit for this with
everything.

Another vw specialist near me quoted me £376 for the same an same day
return.

And VW themselves quoted me £480 *gulp*

The first one is who I normally use for repairs and never had a problem
and trust them so I'll go with them just wanted to know if you thought
the price was good ?

Thanks

Depends on the car in question of course, but cambelt, idler &
tensioners cost me £110 from the dealers for my 2.0 8v [1], G12 is about
£20-30, pumps..not sure not needed one since the Cavalier, so actually
I'd say £250 sounds too cheap. On my 2.0 8v access was easy so it was a
1-2hr job, but on some cars expect a bit longer.

[1] It actually worked out more from GSF (if you shopped between them
could have brought the price down a bit.
