Default Sharan TDi 90bhp P reg

The old diesel Sharan 90bhp is a bit under-powered.
Is it possible to boost the power from 90bhp to 110/115bhp
without it costing too much ?
Any suggestions ?

JackH who posts to uk.rec.cars.misc has one on a MkIII Golf TDI (same
engine) and reckons it makes a big difference to performance without
making huge dents in the economy.

If you know someone with VAG-COM, you might want to get things checked
over first- especially the MAF. I know the TDI90 is never going to be a
ball of fire, but it's worth checking.

I've downloaded a copy of VAG-COM from PirateBay and
read the instructions.
Is there any details about the serial cable out there
and where-abouts do I find the diagnostics plug.

The vehicle is a '97 P reg Sharan TDI90 with the AHU engine.
The MAF connector is a 6 pin type.

The serial cables can be got from Ebay for Vag-Com 4.09. Have a look
around http://www.ross-tech.com/ as well, common diag socket locations
are listed. I've never looked on a Sharan.
