A 2001 Golf is mark 4, or indeed mark IV.


thanks fort at bit embaraased I could never remember what the number is when
it was IV or VI always got them the wrong way :-s

I learnt something too. I'd been to Las Vegas, and seen The Venetian
hotel. It has the 4 on the clockface shown as IIII, not IV, at which I
happily mocked them for being so stupid. I didn't know that many clocks
with Roman numerals on have 4 shown IIII, until i read that
article.......Big Ben is a notable exception.
