Hi
My son has a 1.3 GT multipoint injection polo, when it starts from cold
its a bit lumpy but starts every time, at every junction and roundabout it
cuts out. On one ocasion after it had been running for about 15 mins we
stopped for fuel and it took ages to start. Main problem though is cutting
out every time you have to pull up.

My womans car had near enough the same symptoms.
It turned out to be the throttle housing, whatever that is.

My son had a similar problem on his GT Polo (H-plate) and after much fussing he
found the lambda probe was bad. Have a look at www.porka.net - he's the
webmaster so he's on there most of the time! It's a lively place, and the Club
Polo gets a good following at the VW shows - not surprising, they're great
little cars.
