While attempting to replace the bolt on the torque arm on my daughter's Lupo
last week, I noticed that the nuts on the end of the clutch cable were loose. There are two, and I assume they should normally be locked together. This evening she has complained that she finds it hard to change gear, but that there is also now a whine on overrun, paricularly in first and second. So two questions, is there a specific method to adjust the clutch? and any ideas why it should suddenly start to whine on overrun? Hope someone can throw some light on this, and also that there isn't a serious problem with the box. It's a 1999 T, and has done just over 70k. Thanks, Brian. |

Don't worry about the clutch, drained the gearbox oil, and 5 rollers came out with it, rather chewed. |
