Default Faulty Indicator on Golf Mk1 Cabrio 1992

Hi group, hope you can help.

Having problems with the front passenger side indicator on a K reg Golf
Rivage Cabriolet. The indicator isn't working & the indicator dashboard
light flashes double time - manula says this indicates a fault, but not
necessarily where.

Tried the obvious - fuses ok, swapped out the relay with a relay from a golf
that I know works, and tied changing the bulb - no luck.

Any ideas what could be the cause - probably something simple that I'm
missing.

Thanks in advance

Scott.

Very frequently a broken feed wire into the bulb holder (or bad
connection inside the holder). Test with a multi meter.
