Default MkIII Golf Alarm & imobiliser - remote sender

I have a Mk III Vento 1994. There is an alarm/mobiliser fitted (by VW)
but there was no key fob remote with the car when I bought it.

I have spoken to Scorpion (makers of the alarm) about getting a new
remote - but they say that the alarm is now discontinued and they can't
provide a remote.

They don't do a replacement alarm unit that fits with the existing
wiring - and would only quote for a whole new system.

Can anybody suggest where to get a replacement remote. Or - does anybody
have a wiring diagram for the alarm unit connections. Model no.
998VAG153.

Thanks for any help.

Jeff Smith.

I doubt you'll get a wiring diagram, think of the implications if anyone
could lay their hands on one!!

I had the same alarm fitted to a MK3 GTI in the end I just removed it. It
just wasn't worth the agro of messing with it every time. Its all fitted
behind the glove box. Just a matter of removing and connecting the
original wires back together.
