... My love of my life ( my early 1985 MK2 Golf GTi 8v) is now back on the road, MOT'd (straight through - not a single noting or suggestion!) with his new 16v engine fitted! It's been a long treck and horrible to have him off the road, untaxed and unMOT'd but it's been worth it! Many thanks to all the suggestions from those who gave their two penny worth - wouldn't have done it without you all! Thanks all Michael 1985 GTi 16V ![]() Excellent news. Only one thing though, Michael, 'she' isn't a 'he', as she's a 'she'! Give her a name! Cheers The Admiral. |

Admiral, you shouldn't go making assumptions, perhaps it was intentional
that Michael calls his car HE. My Tdi has been in the gaage for the last month, stupid bitch just wouldn't go. Typical bloody woman, my car, the smallest thing causes untold grief and anguish. If only a bunch of flowers and meal could've fixed her, instead it was the bloody expensive engine transplant and all the other bits that go with it. A bit like buying her a new dress only to find she needs the matching shoes, hand bag and jewelry. Cars are EXACTLY like women, so, Michael, unless your car is a VERY camp Julian Clary, ballet dancing hairdresser call it she and give HER a name. Dave |
