Default leak under the car

Noticed a drip of water (i know, i tasted it) this evening and checked the
coolant level, fine, and the washer bottle, also fine. The car is a 98
passat estate 1.8020v with climate control. Does this suggest a leak in the
air con?? How can i tell? The only thing i have noticed is that there is a
whiff of old cigars when i get into it in the morning. Bit dubious about
putting it into the VW dealer, theyre not cheap. Any ideas????

The water is atmospheric water condensing on the cold parts of the AC. This
drips onto the ground. Nothing to worry about so long as everything else
seems fine, all AC systems do this.

Is it ok that it's still dripping this evening, i ran the car for a 4 mile
return trip at 3.00pm today.

Thanks

Default leak under the car

It will drip after every use of the aircon. Smell it - aircon condensation
will be pretty pure, whereas antifreeze smells quite sweet, and windscreen
washer is soapy.
