Hi,
Does anyone know of a decent strong adhesive that would be suitable for repairing trim (specifically, the passenger side wing mirror on my '87 Polo, which some little idiot snapped off the other night). It's an easy repair to the stalk but Superglue doesn't work, predictably enough... Thanks for any help, L. |

Not as durable as the 24 hour stuff, IME A good trick with Araldite is to make it warm (stick the tubes in hot water for 5 minutes) first. Then thoroughly mix the resin & hardener together & coat each clean & dry surface thinly & wait for it to go slightly tacky - takes about 15 minutes if warm. Mate the two pieces & clamp together for 24 hours & you should have a repair that will outlast the car. |
