The headlight performance on my 99 Passat TDI is abysmal epically on main beam. I would do better with a pair of candles tied to the bumper. So far I have tried Phillips Vision plus bulbs as suggested in another post but with no discernible difference and have also upgraded the fuses and fitted a couple of 100 watt bulbs. Again no difference. The lenses are in perfect condition, no scratches etc and the inside of the headlight units show no sign of yellowing. A lot of my driving is done on North Donegal country roads that have no road markings, signposts etc and I am really dreading my first winter with this car. Is this normal for a Passat? Can anybody suggest anything? Thanks Jerry --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
