Default GT TDI 130PS Service Interval

I am considering a 130 PS (130BHP) GT PDI, it has something called variable
service intervals as opposed to the "normal" fixed schedule.

Pro / cons comments please.

TIA

Ben

Variable servicing is ok as long as you do your 'haynes manual weekly
checks' else things can get worn or damaged that would have been bought up
at a shorter service interval.
