Hi, I just purchased a LHD 1981 2.0l Automatic Westie. Having taken it on its maiden voyage around the countryside at the weekend, I was shocked to see how much petrol it got through. I know these vehicles are not the most economical on the road but I think around 25mpg is pretty much typical without being heavily loaded. I was getting about 15mpg at best!
