FAO Fraser by fishman
Mainly aimed at FJ but it's been a while so hi to the nosey parkers. Been in India for several months, enjoyed the South but got a bit fed up in the North so bought one of those Indian-made Royal Enfield Bullet 350 things. Marvellous in an old kind of way, if you can put up with '50s British design combined with Indian build quality erm... Anyway the bike didn't cure my problems (but riding...

impressed-Xantia estate by Rob
Just picked up a Xantia estate wasn't expecting much for a 98 Citroen with no tax or test but a quick jump start and a wee run home and i'm smitten. Engine is bloody sweet and miles better than the hdi crap that we get lumbered with out of France now.

**** weekend by Doki
Friday: Wheel cylinder dies on the back of the van. Saturday: Spent underneath the van. Sunday: Electric shock for breakfast (handy hint - turning something off at the plug doesn't necessarily mean it's off if the plugs in your mum's house), followed by the rest of the day spent underneath the van, until my sister decided that she should shout and moan about meddling with brakes until she...

Data logging - how cool is that... by Bob Sherunckle
Bought a Vag-Com lead off ebay and tried the shareware version of the software. Superb. Liked it that much that I actually sent them the money and bought a licence. (With a c). This enabled me to reset my throttle body which was casuing a dodgy cold idle. Then after I had done that, I could log a start up and check that everything was in range. Which it now is. Logs are saved in excel...

PING: Burgerman, Elder, other alternative fuel peeps by Abo
Can you tell me how the calorific value of a litre of straight veg oil, or filtered waste oil compares with a litre of regular diesel? I've had a quick google but I'm tired and maybe one of you guys will just know the answer. One of my collegues today revealed he's experimenting with veg oil in his Golf GTTDI; he's currently running an 80/20 diesel/veg mix and will be playing about with the...

duped by Bristol garage by knts172@yahoo.com
Hampton Lane Garage, BS6 6LE I got my alternator changed from this garage. Fussy mechanic, kept complaining to me about the difficulty he faced changing the alternator!!. He was rude and imprecise while giving me the quote. The breakdown guy had checked the alternator, it was making noise and was almost seized but not broken. The garage showed it to me in broken (cracked) condition when I went...

Momo steering wheels by Carl Gibbs
Alright chaps Who knows about Momo steering wheels? Some sporty models have them as standard, but are they the same as the Momo wheels you buy off the shelf in terms of bolt patterns? Or are they specifically made to fit the cars steering column? Cheers --
