Hello, I had to replace the window riser mechanism in my car today, and to get at the guts of the door, I had to hack through the plastic membrane thing behind the door card. What purpose does this serve - can I safely remove it? It has holes in it where the loudspeaker, door latch cable and lock button come through, so I assume it isn't any sort of vapour-proof barrier. I've found out what it is now. It's a Bravo 1.9 Multijet Dynamic. 5 door. Black, it is. First impressions: Front end looks a bit like a Quattroporte. If you squint a bit.
