Vectra Auto Diesel Mini Review by
Abo
Ok I've hardly driven it, but the new car arrived today. I've now got a
black Vectra diesel so it's a bit like having a taxi.
The engine's a bit agricultural sounding but it goes alright and you
don't notice from the inside. Comfy enough though.
Satnav thinks it's home is in Milton Keynes though (eww), I'll have to
RTFM to work out how to change that...
Heated seats, nice for the winter!

These Ebay stainless manifolds and exhausts by
Doki
All seem to be coming out of Belgium under the brand of "Hot Tuning", and
they're mighty cheap. Golf ones are £160 quid or so, whereas the likes of
TSR want £260 quid. Anyone got any idea of they're any cop?
For that matter, what's with all the cheap bits from Cz advertised in the
back of PPC?

Whatever happened to..... by

Matt Faulks?
Only he turned up in Practical Performance Cars this month - in their
£999 challenge.
Unfortunately, the hugely modded Paxo he built for the event blew up
after the first test.

306 MOT Yesterday by
Abo
Needed a new ball joint and the indicator bulbs had lost their
yellowness a bit too much; they were showing a bit too white apparently.
Sorted now, another 12 months ticket. In nearly 40k miles all I've
needed on the old workhorse is:
Timing belt
Ball joint
Bulbs
Pads

OT: phones (mobile) by
Depresion
As I'm coming to the end of my contract I'm up for a new mobile, after much
consideration I plumped for the N95 and popped in to get one this week. Nice
and easy, until I got into the shop where I was totally ignored (not had that
since I went to look at a 350Z). Unfortunately while in there sitting on the
desk were a few iPhones (I had decided long ago they don't have as good a
spec as the...

Cripes by
Doki
Skoda Superbs seem to be fetching around £3.5k for a 2004 car. AFAICS that's
around about 00/01 Passat money. Given that they tend to be kitted with just
about everything, that's tempting.
