ABF or KR? by
Doki
It's just occured to me that I've got an old KR sat in my 16V that's slowly
rotting in the shed. It'd need megasquirting or similar, but obviously the
lump would be free, albeit in need of engine mounts and a downpipe. Has
anyone got any idea of the power potential of one of these on proper
injection without ****ing about porting it etc (140K, was down on power
(someone had meddled with the...

A few pics of the Vee and a friend by
Iridium
Took a few photos tonight in Scarborough station car park of my V6 and my
friend Stace's Starlet GT Turbo. They came out pretty well, see here -

Especially when you consider I was using a tiny little Casio Exilim point
and shoot job.

T5 Update by
Carl Gibbs
Done a couple of hours of fettling today.
Boost gauge is now fixed - rubber elbow in the engine bay had split. MP3
player fitted and sounds suprisingly good, although cannot get MP3s to play
off a CD at the moment, works off a USB stick though. Crappy frosted rear
lights have been swapped for some nicer ones which has made the car look
much tidier. Went to fit strut brace, but the ABS ECU...

Oo-err missus... by
Conor
Just been perusing the Ford Mondeo Owners Club (yes there is one)
forums.
Apparently I can modchip my 2L TDCi 130 and get over 155BHP with no
other mods or 175BHP with a little messing. The 2.2L 155BHP can be
taken to oevr 220, thrashing a Mondeo ST220 because of the higher
torque.
They already come with 244ft/lb torque and it doesn't half haul arse up
the local 1 in 6 hill already so I...

Mondeo 2.5 V6 - any good? by
Mike P
I've been offered an R reg one of these with 100k on it for £650. I'm not
bothered about fuel consumption as it'll be used for going to work in
occasionally, weekend fun and as a project toy.
PPC mag reckons they've got a good engine and chassis... but it is a Mondeo.
It certainley drives well and is reasonably nippy and parts should be cheap.
I know they can suffer from cooling probs if...

Modding. by
Douglas Payne
Modded my 2 cars today.
I put the hard top back on the MX-5. The 7 months it spent in my mum and
dad's hallway haven't been kind to it, but it still looks shiny enough:
http://www.paynehq.com/pics/hardtop.jpg
And then someone else modded my Polo with some chains and a HIAB:

I was a bit gutted as I had great plans for that Polo. It was one day
going...
