Chip tuning well used diesel by
DervBoy
I have been toying with the idea of tuning my Astra 2.0DTI. I was
considering either the superchip or a Bromleys plug-in uning unit. My
insurance company is happy with this as long as I pay a not unreasonable
extra premium, so no worries there. It's out of warranty due to high mileage
so no problem there either.
I know that ECU modifications are normally safe provided proper servicing
has been...

Some GP humour (OT) by
AstraVanMan
However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for at the crew's first
practice session. Not only were the Scousers Pit Crew able to change the
tyres in under 6 seconds, but within 12 seconds they had re-sprayed,
rebadged and sold the vehicle over to the MacLaren Team for four bottles
of
Stella, a gram of speed and a quick shifty at Coulthard's bird in the
shower.
LOL!

Vaux RWD bellhousings by
Rob
anyone confirm exactly what gearbox i need for a 2l 16v XE engine(late model
blacktop not ecotec) and red top engines
investigating this lump further as its easy enough to get my hands on one
and much cheaper than a decent BMW 6 cylinder lump and prolly less hassle
to fit the bugger lol

Soundproofing (again) by
Doki
Righto, got the new stereo in the car (only 4x50W) but as it's a Ka, the
music is nearly as loud outside the car as inside. I'm a cheap *******, so
solutions of the "go and get x, y and z" from B&Q are better than "Spend all
your money on dynamat". I've read of roof flashing being handy for sticking
on the insides of doors etc. Do you do the whole thing or just stick a bit
on? The speakers are in...

Sir, have you tried driving one? (c: I had a loan of (for a week) an old
shape (R reg) Punto sporting and it was good fun. Nimble, nippy, quick
steering, revtasticly good fun. It really didn't matter that it wasn't
mega
quick, it was just fun. Remember fun, grandad? :cp

alfasud cloverleaf by
Tim Fish
in a shed we have an alfasud cloverleaf, not a bit of rust in site (no
joke). one of the pepper pot wheels (original wheels) are missing which I
might find and the engine is in bits.
What I really wanted to know is how much would it be worth with the rebuilt
engine and all the wheels. (its the engine with the 2 twin choke Webber
downdraughts on it)?

Hey peeps,
just returned from a 1800 mile round trip to France. And guess what... the
205 made it all the way there and back without a single problem. Surprised?
I almost passed out when we got back today!!!
And french roads are great - no speed cameras, no traffic police, no
worries!!! And the country lanes are fantastic fun and even very nice to
look at.
And another thing - for those who...
