A Tidy Engine :) by
Mark Craft
I expect they got a bumper to go over it, I can see the mounting brackets.
even so the amount of **** that would get in there would trash a turbo..
and the car is a RS4/6 if im not mistaken.
I think so.

DIY Total Closure for a car by
Simon Burrows
Hi all,
First of all, apologies for the cross-post! It's gone to some car ngs aswell
as electronics ones for both sides of the story :-)
I'm just having a little play around with the idea of adding a circuit to my
car's stock alarm that will create a total closure system (i.e if
windows/sunroof are open they will be closed automatically).
In theory, I guess this should be pretty simple... all...

partial panels. There is an area of...

Hi everyone
I'm a newbie in the world of car modifications.
I'm especially interested in the following car

Can anyone recommend some good books or websites

Thanks in advance.

Fitting A dump valve? by
Mark Craft
erm
are you sure you want to weld it to the turbo housing ?
do you really mean a dump valve or are you talking about an external
wastegate ?
if you really do mean dump valve why not to what everyone else does and use
a T-piece to put it in the inlet tract ?

ashley pipes? by
Marty
Just orderd an "Ashley" full system and K&N 57i filter for my Sierra DOHC
2.0i.
I hope the 2 will work well together (the cat will be gone). Even if it
don't make a whole pile of performance differance it will sound cool.
Are Ashley exhaust's any good?

has anybody seen that mk1 Capri in Evo magazine every now and then? The
bloke has gone all out and spent stupid money doing it properly...
Really is bloody stupid money though. £30 grand last time I looked. Think
how much further that would have gone if it wasn't black on the outside and
silver...

I am just building a new website to help all you poor dummies build your own
nitrous systems...
My old site (as lots of you know) was www.nitrous.info and this will be
getting repaced with a bigger better proper site as soon as I get chance to
finish it.
For the moment its about 25 percent done, and here.
www.fatnfast.com/temporary/
But you will all be able to buy all the bits ready modified...

Boo hoo :-( by
DervBoy
Well, it doesn't look like I'll be getting that Van Aaken tuning jobby as
soon as I'd hoped fx sniffling, tears
Noticed the coolant gradually turning a darker blue. There are also small
spots of tacky black residue around the water line. I guess these are oily
diesel combustion deposits which have entered the cooling system via a dicky
head gasket.
I did of course check the oil and coolant...
