Just helped a friend relocate from York to Norwich (poaching staff from my old place, mwahahahaha!), so hired a hicube long wheelbase 3.5t twin rear axel van thing for the long weekend. Sadly, it wasn't a Transit, but a LDV Convoy. There's nothing wrong with LDVs, I suppose, but I prefer Transits. But at least it had the 90 PS 2.4 Duratorq engine! Hi All, I have a chance of buying a MK1 Transit, with the V4 Engine. Does anyone know if the later DI diesel engine with a 5 speed gearbox will fit in without too much modification? I seem to remember that some (diesel?) MK 1 Transits had a sort of bulbous bonnet extension, but this one has not. Many TIA, Barleycorn.
