Why stop at one? :o)
1. Because I can't afford 2
2. Because 2x twin-choke Webers would be wasted on a 1.6 slushomatic

Wouldn't cost a huge amount more to get a complete damaged 16V Golf and
replace the complete engine, gearbox and nice reliable Bosch injection
system.

You sure it isn't a Pierburg 2E2 or 2E3?
They were fitted to Golfs including Autos

I miss my turbocharger! by
DervMan
Just helped a friend relocate from York to Norwich (poaching staff from my
old place, mwahahahaha!), so hired a hicube long wheelbase 3.5t twin rear
axel van thing for the long weekend.
Sadly, it wasn't a Transit, but a LDV Convoy. There's nothing wrong with
LDVs, I suppose, but I prefer Transits. But at least it had the 90 PS 2.4
Duratorq engine!
And it's reminded me of a few things. LDV...

Someone Whacked my car by
Ron
Guess what it was a bitch as well, 5 people watched her reverse into it, was
class...
Insurance are being gay as because I didnt take out legal protection I have
to pay my excess and will not get it back, unless I claim from her
personally. She just drove off btw after putting my car on the curb :)
I have protected Noclaims etc 70% discount, So make sure you all take out
legal cover, other wise...

Ford Capri brakes by

Anyone got some suggestions for replacements for the front brakes of a
2.8i MK3 Capri? It goes well but stopping it is "interesting" to say
the least.
The Capri owners club sell brake upgrades - discs, pads and calipers. Not
too expensive either IIRC.

That German News server by

Isn't it bloody annoying when they take it down for maintenance.
Then lose a load of posts. Particularly those made that day.
Bloody annoying. Especially that nicely developing thread me, Vamp, and
Ronny had started about the Audi dash install.

DigitalWW by

I was thinking of buying a DVD off these guys after seeing thier website
mentioned on this group. Has anyone here dealt with them personally? They
have some good gear at pretty good prices. Site is www.digitalww.com. I am
sick of being ripped off by some of these online scammers.

Torque Settings by

I am trying to confirm the Torque Settings for my Vauxhall Tigra Rear
Wheel Bearing and Wheel Nuts
Wheel nuts will be 90-100Nm.
Wheel bearings are usually tighten up to about 25Nm (where they'll get
tight) and then back off such that it runs easily but without any play.

Digital Dashboard in MkIV Escort? by
Lum
I'd like to fit some kind of digital daskboard into my 1600 CVH Escort MkIV.
Obvious candidate is the one from the MkII Astra GTE, though it doesn't
have to be.
I have seen one pic of a car with this conversion done.
So a few questions..
Does anyone make a dash or a conversion kit that can use the existing
senders, or ideally a kit designed especially for Escorts?

Transit engine swap by
Barleycorn
Hi All,
I have a chance of buying a MK1 Transit, with the V4 Engine. Does anyone
know if the later DI diesel engine with a 5 speed gearbox will fit in
without too much modification?
I seem to remember that some (diesel?) MK 1 Transits had a sort of bulbous
bonnet extension, but this one has not.
Many TIA, Barleycorn.

wired them up?

No, it's four short. Only the top of the range is two short.
It's either two short, or eight short on the "standard engine". The
