Lexus Soarer Wheels by
David Bolton
Hi guys,
Not been around here for a while, I was wondering if you could help
with a query?
What wheels will fit on a Lexus Soarer? Ie from different cars like
Honda fit on Vauxhall etc... If anything? Its a rwd car too so I
guess this might cause problems!
Oh well help appreciated!

Has anyone ever tried fitting a Nitro to an MX6?
Any idea on the increase in performance.
If you fit 50bhp jets you will get 50bhp increase, if you fit 100bhp jets
you will get 100bhp increase, if you fit 200bhp jets you will get a 200bhp
increase in performance, get the idea?

Widening Rear Track by
DervMan
Okay people, why would you want to do this on a front wheel drive car?
Now I'd speculate that you'd make the back a bit more stable, reduce roll a
little bit, and therefore encourage less oversteer when you /cough/ mess up?

URGENT - MoT test on Sunday by
DocDelete
I'm picking up a car on Sunday and in order to keep it all legal I need to
book an MoT inspection for the end of the journey (yes, *and* actually turn
up for the test!) - does anyone know of a garage that'll do tests on a
Sunday, in Birmingham / Midlands?
Ta.
PS I've tried Nationwide Autocentres, AA/Halfords, Kwikfit et al but even
though they advertise as "open seven days" none of the buggers...

Twin DCOE 40's on a 1760 crossflowflow by
Beng
I just got hold of a 1968 Escort with a full race spec crossflow. The only
trouble is it won't run right at all. Basically it runs well above 3000rpm,
but below that you've got to really tickle the accelerator to stop it from
kangarooing and dieing. It's really horrible pulling out from junctions, the
power kicks in unpredictably sometimes sending the backend out without
warning. I realise the...

Air filters by
Christopher Hay
Hi guys.
I'm after some advice on filters. I am wanting to get an induction kit. I
had a K&N on a previous car butI am wanting to consider all options on this
car I have now. I have a MG ZR 160. Now, the K&N's are at around £110 but
Green and Pipercross are around £75. Any ideas which are better?
Cheers

Wrong size carb... by
Phil Howard
What would be the effect of putting the carb from a larger engine onto a
smaller one? Namely:
Cruising - richer or leaner?
Acceleration enrichment - more or less?
Full throttle - richer or leaner?
Only after ballpark - i.e. will it do any harm putting one and driving it to
the local rolling road beforehand? We're talking a 2.0 carb on a 1.6
engine.

Should I or shouldn't I? by
Richard Kilpatrick
Been looking for a new car for the gf - she's settled on a '98 Scorpio
2.3 Ultima Estate, so I hope the 2.3 isn't a bad engine... but I spotted
a Toyota Sera behind the garage where we found the Ford.
Apparently they bid on it as a trade in based on pics in email; when
they got it, it was rather worse than expected, needing lights, and it
won't run.
Should I make a silly offer? Seras are...
