Also haven't modded the car today but... by
Doki
Got an air fed mask, so now I can start practicing spraying. Tomorrow the
first panel I manage to remove from my old car, the day after that p'raps
I'll get it something approaching right.
I also drove the Golf after 3 days of trundling around in the van, which was
nice. I also had the toe out on the van sorted, and now I can drive it
without ****ting myself.
PS: Anyone know if Expert /...

Watching Top Gear right now by

And once again Clarkson finds an excuse to hate the Vauxhall. Provoking
massive understeer like that! The Ford would, if he drove it like that.
Mazda seemed a bit tidy though :)

What's a 206 GTi got under the bonnet? by

Just wondering as one couldn't keep up with my Golf. They done a
Diesel or something?
Couple of athsmatic hamsters, or similar. 2.0l petrol with 130bhp I
think,
IIRC it was made purely for homologation purposes, the stupidly
oversize
bumpers meant that peugeot could use the 206 chassis in the WRC,

Haven't modded a car today but... by
Elder
Missus says to me yesterday, "how long have you had this car now?"
She was of course refering to the 3 months rule. As this was a decent
car, she didn't want me bodging it for 3 months, while I checked for any
faults. I bought the car over the easter weekend.
I would love to fit a set of BRM nubeetle alloys and a set KW coilovers.
What is really annoying me is the poor radio receiver in the...

Damper rebuilds by
Doki
I'm getting tempted by the odd bits and bobs of second hand suspension
clobber coming up on ebay. Are rebuild kits expensive? Looking at second
hand Avos, Konis, Bilsteins and Gaz (coilovers if they're cheap enough), or
p'raps just some new Gaz dampers.

Haven't modded today but have de-rusted! by
David Lane
Spent all weekend dealing with the rust and scrapes on SWMBO's old Rover
416.
I thought the odd bit of rust would mean a couple of hours - until I found
rust behind both front wheel arches and all along the seams on each side.
Fun - not - particularly when I got the stonechip can the wrong way round
and I de-tanned myself.
Since I've got to drive this for the next 6 months or so (out of...

What I did this evening by
SteveH
I got quite ****ed, on Becks, straight from the brewery over the river
in Bremen.
Random observation: German women, at least in this part of Germany, are
absolutely stunning.

Bloody stickers. by
Conor
Just spent all afternoon getting one of those naff 1980's "CAPRI"
stickers off the tailgate glass. It put up one hell of a fight but then
again it has been on the thick end of 20 years. Was quite funny seeing
what the original colour was in some hidden bits as it had faded top a
pale orange.
Managed to do it without ****ign up the rear demist elements.
Just a tip...those Flash Citrus Wipes...

Modded a car today by
Fraser Johnston
Stuck a 7" roof mount dvd player in wifeys Forrester GT. Best investment ever.
Keeps my 2 year old son quiet on long trips. Aus$400 for the unit and 3 hours
for me to stick it in. I am pretty chuffed. Wifey thought it was a waste of
money until our first drive.
