Took Burgermans advice by Carl Gibbs
Today I dumped the K&Ns off the V8 and put the standard airbox back in place and gave it a direct cold air feed (in a V8 Sierra stylee). No more nasty resonating noises produced, which is nice. So the engine bay now looks like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3250/2835421031_ac79fdf8cb.jpg And thanks to Dave Plowman the outside now looks like...

damn sounds expensive by Vamp
noticed in a noise in my aging E36 a while ago and now it's annoyingly loud! i reckon i got a rear wheel bearing gone. now i was tempted to do it myself but after reading up on it and remembering how badly i ****ed up a brake pad change on the MK1 MR2 i had a few years ago i put it past my skill level. mechanic mate of mine said bout £150 to sort it which i guess aint to terrible. might get...

Bloody handbrake cable has snapped on one side. by Elder
Handbrake now lifts up like an old 900 did before it bites but at least it still holds. Will have to get a price for it when it goes in for the oil service in the next couple of weeks. -- Carl Robson Get cashback on your purchases Topcashback http://www.TopCashBack.co.uk/skraggy_uk/ref/index.htm Greasypalm http://www.greasypalm.co.uk/r/?l=1006553

Sig Change (Pending) by Steve H
I appear to have bought a 156 2.0 Veloce 2 Selespeed Sportwagon. Black, with tan leather. 56 plate, but some kind of dodgy import that sat around in a warehouse for a few years before sale, but only 9.7 miles and 1 owner from new. Bargain-tastic price, too. Collecting this weekend.....

[OT][RANT]Formula 1 *Contains Spoilers* by DanB
If you want to wait and watch the highlights, close this post heh :-) What the flying ****? I'm not even a Hamilton fan, ever since I was young I've gone for the Ferraris since back when Alesi and Burger used to drive for them! I just liked the car back then heh. I wouldn't be upset if Hamilton won over all because he's British an I can't help but want it a bit. My alliegence isn't very...

New Scirocco by Abo
Saw a lorry load being hauled souyth down the M6 this morning. They look pretty decent. Also saw a black new-shape Mustang with a nice loud exhaust caning it up the other way. I actually felt it go past despite me being in lane 1 and it being on the other carriageway -- Abo

Am I certifiable? (Paging the SOC-isti....) by AstraVanMann
http://snipr.com/bigfastshed For those who can't be arsed to click the link, it's a Carlton 24v Estate. Not super cheap, but equally, looks like quite a good one. Not FSH, but equally looks pretty well maintained - lack of a FSH on something like that isn't a huge issue if you know the cars and can tell it's a goodun. I'd want a good few hundred quid off that price though, especially...

Car Donation by john
People always consider donating money a great way to help a worthy cause. Cars that are not being used make good donations, enabling many less fortunate people to have a means of transportation. In order to avoid exploitation, certain rules are framed that are binding on the association receiving the car donation. Organizations must submit a written acknowledgement of the receipt of the...

Would you with someone elses? by Elder
http://smallr.com/8b5 Looks tidy, bit leggy and fabric. But looks ok. Just mooching again. Not looking to buy yet, the Saab goes in for an oil service end of the month when I'm back from my Holiday.
