Went up t'garage to get petrol at lunchtime. Plod had placed a camera
van just outside the local pub. On the way back there were two cars
ahead of me, both of them driven by blokes who drove like old women,
coasting around avery bend with their foot on the brake, getting down to
25mph for some of the bends (I can do this road end to end at 60mph on
cruise control, no bend is severe enough to warrant 25mph).

As we got to the village (40 limit) both of them ploughed on at 50,
ignoring the ****ing obvious van. Then the one in front decided to turn
into the pub and the one following swerved right crossing over to the
other side of the road - across double white lines, right in front of
the camera van.

You obviously know the road and are used to it. The two guys in front of you
may have been strangers who didn't know the road, but are a bit wary because
of ****s like you coming the other way at 60mph round the bend.

Right... why would I be on the other side of the road? You may want to
put your thinking head on first Wurzel. The curves on the road have good
sight lines and none of them is severe enough to warrant slowing down
below 50. A really, really timid driver might get down to 40, but 25 is
taking the ****.

The excellent observational skills of at least one of them can be
determined from his decision to overtake at 50mph (ish) over double
white lines in front of a camera van.
