Yup. supposed to be a look copied from the XJ40 Jags. http://preview.tinyurl.com/yg4vsk The interior is foul, the handling non-existent but I still want one. Although I'd settle for a Ford Five Hundred. http://www.familycar.com/RoadTests/FordFiveHundred/ |

I used to have an Impala, guy I know in Manchester (he of the Trans-Am) has a Caprice. Comedy fuel consumption, makes you wish you'd never started the thing, even in Canada, where petrol costs nothing, I begrudged spending the money on fuel. They are heavy as ****, made from 1/8 plate steel or something daft like that. Truly awful interiors. No way near as comfy as you'd think. The only things they've got going for them are column-mounted gear shifts and stupidly light steering. I considered bringing my Impala back (it were a 350 cu in, no less!) but then the reality kicked in. You'd not be able to park it anywhere (they are ****ing enormous), and scallies and enviro-loons would key it to bits. Keep it as the dream, mate. The reality will depress you! |
