Advice please on using parent's car almost permanently by David
Would the following arrangement work well? What drawbacks would I need to be aware of? ================ I'm 40 years old. I hope to get Legal Aid (to pursue a civil action) and Legal Aid takes the applicant's car into account in order to calculate assets.

BBC Top Gear - a bit gay by FCS
I couldn't help noticing a Top Gear assessment of various high-end sports cars broadcast recently described many of them as "well, a bit limp-wristed..." Perhaps it is well within the target demographic of the more successful and wealthy of the Pink Pounders to be flattered in this manner--and I leave it to the boys at the Beeb to use their judgment on this. OTOH, however, on the other hand, it...

Continental Premium Contact 2 by Paul Giverin
I was sitting at home thinking...... what this newsgroup really needs..... is a thread about car tyres ;) Seriously, the Michelin Primacys on my Focus are going to need replacing very soon. Continental Premium Contact 2's about £10-15 a corner cheaper and the online reviews seem to rate them above the Michelins. Anyone here have any experience of the Premium Contact 2's Cheers,

How To Care For Your Designer Handbag by xikom@163.com
Whether your designer handbag is a Louis Vuitton, a Gucci, or any other designer, it is important to take proper care of it. Proper care will give you many years of beauty and use in return. Most leather designer bags are not treated. This allows the bags to age gracefully and with the character expected from a designer bag, making them distinct and unique. Keep your bag away from makeup, food,...

Top Gear on Dave by Tennant Stuart
In a 2004 episode, we were shown the new Peugeot 1007 with sliding doors that do *not* sound like the ones in Star Trek. They made a big deal of the James Bond producers not letting it be one-double-oh-seven so everyone has to say one-thousand-and-seven. What gets me is you wouldn't say that anyway - the 308 is three-oh-eight, so 1007 would be ten-oh-seven, yes? Tennant Stuart --

Car brokers by Andy Pandy
Are there any drawbacks or potential problems with using a car broker to buy a new car? They're some good deals at drivethedeal and carfile on a new Mondeo, both brokers seem to have a good reputation. Also anyone used autoebid, sounds like a good idea, seems you name your top price and dealers bid the price down, and you're only committed to pay your top price but could get it cheaper. -- Andy
