tracker systems by
Alan
Forget the mockers, yes it can be fitted easily.
Having said that, is it really worth it?
It is only likely to be stolen by joy riders and they will have problems
with the immobiliser.
IMO you would be better off with a yellow steering wheel bar.

Could a tracker system be installed on a Fiat Punto 1.2
Yes, but it would be completely and utterly pointless. If someone wants
a Punto that desperately, I'd just give it them out of sympathy.

Vauxhall Cavalier Spark plugs by
Mark Wake
Does anybody know the spark plug gap for a G reg (1990) vauxhall cavalier
1.6? I've looked through my Haynes Manual but chapter one says "see chapter
5", and chapter 5 says...you guessed it... "see chapter 1". While that kept
me busy for a few hours maybe I'm just missing something.
Any help?
Thanks,
Mark.

What's it worth? by
Oliver Keating
Well I will be soon selling my Mercedes SL and I want to know how much I
should ask/accept for it.
It is SL280 '94 with private plate with 66k miles backed by a full service
history.
Parkers guide says, adjusting for mileage, £12950 for a "private good" sale.
This doesn't sound like a lot, especially considering this is a fifty plus
grand car.

Hotwiring a Clio by

How easy is it to hotwire a clio (02 model)? Presumably it should be very
hard as it wont start without the transponder in the key. Only reason I

is that I tend to leave it outside the office with the windows open on
very
hot days. Also how do convertible get on? People are...

Difference between adjusting actuator & opening bleed valve? by

I have a 2.0 16v Turbo car with a T3 and -31 actuator and was wondering what
the difference between opening my bleed valve and adjusting my actuator?
I understand about the safe limits of my engine, have a boost gauge and
injector warning light if the ECU can't cope with the fuelling

Is this a realistic deal? by
LiviLion
Right,
I'm off to look at a Clio 172 (not CUP) tommorrow.
List Price OTR is 14,600. What car target price is about 800 less.
The car I'm viewing is a management car so I expect more than that
off.
The car's being delivered for me to drive tommorrow so I'm trying to

Hi
Other half picked up a new polo in Jan, about a month after she got it the
service "chime" started going off when the ignition was turned on, she just

started doing it again, but apparently it's done it once a month or so and

Modernising interior (dash) of MK4 Toyota Supra by
Carl Farrington
does anybody know of any companies or any people who have modernised the
dash / other interior 'plastic' of the MK4 Toyota Supra? They're lovely from
the outside but rather dated on the inside. Skyline GT-R R34 has a nice
interior, but is far too expensive on the used market for me to have an
aspirations of owning one.

Dealing with dealers by

I have been helping a relative buy a newer car.
Currently she has a M-reg 3dr Metro Casino 1100 with 43k miles. (not
the most exciting car in the world, but its pretty reasonable).
She wants a Clio.
So we went a generic car dealer in north London who had a Clio 1.4 RT
3door S reg with 64k miles on the clock.

The other day , just driving into town, (Ford Escort 1.8 Diesel N plate), my
Airbag light started flashing ( 4 slow flashes * Pause * then 4 more).
My next journey, nothing happened at all. Then on another journey it started

Anyway, worried that the airbag may go off while I am driving, I popped
into my local Ford branch and told them what was happening....

Hotwiring a Clio by
Mark Craft
easiest way is to turn up with a new key, alarm ecu and programmer for the
ECU, install the new alarm ecu, reprogram the ecu to suit the new alarm, put
the key in and off you go. In VWs/Audis/SEATs the alarm ecu bit that the key
talks to is in the dash...
Other than that it'd probably be quicker to turn up with a lorry, reach in,
let off the handbrake, wheel it onto the lorry and sail off with...
