Stickers On Car Rear Windows by Usenet Nutter
Is there a ruling about the number of things you can have stuck on a car's rear window? I was sitting in a queue of traffic today and a smallish car in front had a male and a females name below the window but on the window itself they had about 6 stickers saying different things and also a small teddy hanging there .

Blimey. A Laguna diesel running on it's own engine oil and expiring is quite an impressive show :-).

I wonder who said this? by Steve Firth
======= BEGIN I have a 17 month old Rover 75 2.0 CDT auto and whilst I have had no problems with electrics, I have had problems with suspension and tracking. Both front struts were replaced under warranty and all four wheels adjusted to bring them within target tolerances for tracking. It's now booked to go back in on the 27th Feb because the rear nearside tyre is now completely bald on the...

Suggestions on cheap removal method from Spain to Bulgaria? by Theo Markettos
In uk.rec.cars.misc Zimmy wrote: Mate of mine (with a family) had to move everything he had to New Zealand. He decided he could get everything in one container and dealt directly with container shipping companies and did the whole lot for a small fraction of what removal companies quoted him. PING: BMW Know alls :-) by Mike P
What are late 80s/early 90s 5 series BMWs like? I've had a look at one today. 150k on it, mint condition. OK, it was a 2 litre saloon, but it was manual, everything worked, full history, MOT and Tax. Nice motor and would do nicely for our family needs. Asking price £700, private sale from a long time owner. I really can't be arsed spending much more than a grand, but looking at more modern...

National Mileage Register Problem by Jonathan Morton[_2_]
Has anyone had experience of an NRM entry being too high by mistake? Here's the scenario: January 2005, car first registered by Audi and run by one of their people for just under a year. January 2006, car taken out of Audi fleet and put in showroom of an Audi main dealer. Purchased by me with 11,000 miles on the clock. Car had no service history at all because obviously it had not reached...

What's been the fastest speed you've driven so far, in a car ? by Dan[_8_]
Irrespective whether it was your own (current or previous) car or someone else's (whether you were the one driving, or you were only a passenger, doesn't matter), what's so far been the fastest speed you've driven, without crashing and harming anyone and/or also physically damaging the car. It doesn't matter if it was on a road, or on a race track.

Cheapest place to buy petrol near Eurotunnel ? by mangled_us@yahoo.com
Hi, I may be starting a contract in Belgium next week and will be driving there and back every week so I thought it worth asking if anyone knows where the petrol is likely to be cheapest near the Eurotunnel exits in either France or the UK ? My car won't go the full round trip on one tank so I will most likely refuel on the way there and also on the way back. Of course I can hunt around but I...

Improving BMW Mini not using factory upgrades by Zimmy[_3_]
"john royce" wrote in message ... The difference between the BMW so called mini *First* and the mini *One* seems to be the One has about 20 bhp extra (from the same engine block as the First). Reducing the asking price for a new car by john royce
Is there any way to bring down the asking price on a 'new' BMW mini, buying in London (u.k.) ? A local bmw dealer has just said they will *compete* with other bmw dealers on what they charge for extras, but will not compete on the basic price on the car? Is this really the case? Is there any way to beat down the price a bit, bearing in mind the state of the economy etc, etc. Thanks for...

Stuck in traffic jam - how much more fuel? by paulfoel
Knowing how bad the fuel consumption on my Sedona is around town, I was wondering how being stuck in a traffic jam (at say walking pace) affects mpg. Badly I would have thought. Any ideas? How much fuel does a car use idling and not moving per hour?
