206 problems by suzana
Hi, this is my first post here and I'm not sure I'm in the right place. A friend suggested I access newsgrouops to ask for advice about a few problems I have been having with my 3 1/2 year old Peugeot 206 1.6 HDi (3 door). I only passed my test in December 2004. This is my very first car. I bought a low mileage - 11,500 miles - when I bought it at 2 years old with another years warranty to...

Upgrading a VW Golf engine by Trent SC
I've got an M-reg VW Golf 1.4 CL Match, and I was wondering how practical it would be to stick a 1.6 engine into it? From what I understand, the car is basically the same as its bigger brother, so is it realistic, or are there a dozen other considerations to take into account? TIA.

5th gear tonight by Dr Zoidberg
Hmmmm , so a couple of months back Top Gear had "Captain Slow" being tought how to drive quickly on a track by Jackie Stewart. Tonight 5th gear had their slow presenter being tought how to drive by Tiff "stupid annoying **** waving his arms around" Needell. But of course this an entirely innocent coincidence........... -- Alex

Cinquecento by Mungo \two sheds\ Toadfoot
Just got back from looking at a 998cc 1994 Cinquecento. What a truly horrible thing to drive that was! SWMBO wants a little car - she's not having one of those because I'd never hear the last of it: "It won't go into reverse...the steering makes a funny noise...the brakes don't do anything...it's noisy..." Getting back into the Skoda was a pleasure, that's how bad it was! Si

Best auto loan rate by Car Loan Facts
Best auto loan rate Finding the best auto loan rate takes a lot of time and patience. You need to do some legwork before deciding about the matter. The interest rate charged on top of your auto loan could spell several hundreds to even thousands of dollars for you. It is also important to note that the interest rate charged on a used car is usually higher than the rate charged for a new car. But...

Not a car quiz by Krustov
www.emailuser.co.uk/carquiz_try.php?car=11 Its a ford galaxy and like the subject says this is not a love song . But , Does anybody else like the design of the front end because of the way it slopes down and perhaps looks like a old vw camper van & the small grill makes it look like its gritting its teeth .

New Corolla Verso - Front Seats by Verso Owner
The front passenger airbags on this car can be disabled. After doing this, is it legal, in the UK, to have a child's seat installed in the front passenger seat, for use by a 2 year old child? Or is the front passenger seat for adults only? Thanks

Top Gear: The Caravan segment by For example: John Smith
But it wasn't even SLIGHTLY funny (and no, I'm not a vanner). It can NEVER figure out why people laught it COMPLETELY unfunny stuff. A mate of mine is in stitches at REALLY (no, REALLY) lame comedies. It's like he could get work as a canned laughter machine. It's almost as though he laughs out of deferential courtesy - like he thinks "well, these people have been good enough to try and make me...

Top Gear: The Caravan segment by DervMan
"Ed Chilada" wrote in message ... Bound to upset a few caravanners and some parts obviously staged but absolutely brilliant and very *very* funny in so many places. Brilliant stuff and a much welcome return for TG. Even though it's a set up and even though I suspect they did many cuts, I

Swap My Civic For An Alpina B3 Cabriolet? by Tricky Dicky
What if someone you knew needed a practical cheaper vehicle because the insurance on their B3 was silly and it wasn't a good vehicle for work The B3 is a V-reg with less than 25K miles and as previously stated my Civic Type-S is 53-reg with 22K on the clock. Both in excellent condition. I have absolutely no idea how much a B3 is worth so the gulf in price may make a deal a no go But would I...
