Is my car worth more than the tax on it? by
jezclear@googlemail.com
All
Time to change cars - 10 months tax left on this one. Is it worth
trying to sell or just get tax back and scrap.

White Van Man - FM04 PXS by
Fred Bloggs
Ignorant Arsehole sat on my bumper for about 2 miles yesterday (early, 7am)
morning in Liverpool (capital of no-culture).
Sped past, giving me a V-Sign before doing the same intimidating tailgating
to another car in front.
Got caught up at a set of lights when he was stuck behind a JCB and nobody
would let him out, tee hee hee.
Anyway, the van had on it M J Quinn.

The E30 Dream by
mo
I am currently looking for a cheap and temporary car - perhaps the perfect
time to pick up a cheap e30 to bash around?
I may have found a 2 door 1990 E30 in black.
Has some MOT and Tax on it - high mileage though. I haven't seen it
personally.
What sort of price range should a car like this be in? It has alloys but no
luxuries like Air Con. (manual, petrol and 318).

weeks but have yet to receive an e-mail alert saying that the files have

Am I to assume that no new camera sites have been added to the database?

Used Car Reccommendations by
boots
Hello all,
Need some help with a few different areas with buying a used car.
Firstly some background, currently driving a extremely crappy VW Polo
1.4 CL (96), not holding out for too much for it, or anything at all.
Will hopefully get the car on finance from the dealer (credit history
not too great and might struggle to get a personal loan), not sure on
what type of finance to go for. Have a...

The Polo Saga continues - what's covered by used car warranties? by
Doki
Some of you may remember the Harlequin that turned out not be a Harlequin.
In the end, my mum kept it, because she liked it.
However, this past week, the immobiliser has been playing up, to the point
where I've been out to the car a couple of times to get it started. It seems
to begun intermittently disarming the immobiliser, which is nice. This now
means that my Mum's driving her old Polo...

Mazda MX5 1.6 Aircon retrofit by
zacnici
My wife has an MX5, loves it but would like to have aircon fitted. I
understand that as a factory option it can be fitted and have asked the
dealers for the cost of a retrofit.
As ever always best to ask on a NG,any suggestions recommendations for
installers in the Nottingham area if the dealers are still scratching
their heads in a fortnights time

It occured to me the other day that I've never seen a police car
filling up with fuel. Presumbly they have their own supplies? Tax free
red diesel probably!
Hm! next you'll be saying you never see coaches filling up either!

It's some sort of flap in the inlet system that closes up a valve at
slow idle.
I don't know how much good it does but the badges annoy me too!

Tom Tom Go - Car Charger - Question by
Tricky Dicky
I have had my Tom Tom Go for about a month now and have used in two cars and
I have only managed to get the car charger to work once
When you plug it in it just doesn't seem to work all that well - I push it
in hard to ensure contact but only once did it actually connect and I was
able to charge the unit
Anyone else experiencing difficulties?

Does anyone know if matte cellulose paint is porous? Got some for an old

Rearended then two weeks later 2nd gear goes ? by
lordy
Hi all,
Short version:
Is it possible to get gearbox damage from a rear-end shunt that did not
cause any cracking of a bumper. Bumper was pushed in about 1.5 inches
on one side though and now when passengers are in the back there is a
noise going over uneven surfaces.

And yesterday I was mostly... by
Tim S Kemp
Spinning a Caterham, breaking a Clio, scaring myself to death in a JP1,
Roaring with laughter in a Nissan 350Z, driving a mad off road course,
Grinning like a posessed fool (and getting cramp) in an FPA and failing to
keep a 911 in a straight line on a completely sodden road.
I'm bored (and aching) now. And driving country roads in my A class I keep
imagining the sound of "power - power -...

best speed to go over cattle grids? by
chris-de-burgh@uk2.net
speed to go over them you reckon, to do as little damage to your car,
and the most comfortable etc?
Well, I don't know much about drugs, but I would suggest not taking
speed whist driving. OK, the effects of speed might make driving over
cattle grids seem better, but what if you were having a bad trip? You
might think the cattle grid was a great big multi-coloured sea of
elephants flying...

Your *Two* Dream Cars? by
Aust_powers
What would your two dream cars be?
I say two because, one is allowed to be more practical than the other
if you need to carry a family or friends in :), so for arguments sake
my two would be a Ferrari F40 and for practical purposes the newest
Rolls Royce(the one Clarkson took over the Humber bridge. :)
Bored at work(need some inspiration from the group!)

How much property was involved do you suppose from when the government
owned the land and everything on it?
Never mind the millions that the news vendors are touting at the moment
the real cost of the car industry has been horrendous has it not?
