Can you claim back VAT on fuel if you are VAT registered like you can on
other VAT items?

How much a litre does it work out?
Can you claim back the VAT on the duty too?

No real reason for asking, just something that came to me on a bored
sunday morning.

Yes you can. How much it works out at depends on the pump price. When
you fill up, ask for a VAT receipt and its itemised for you. VAT AFAIK
is on the full price incl duty.

It's not that simple. If a car is used for personal purposes you can only
claim the VAT on a proportion of the fuel. Speak to an accountant.
