Did that include disposing of the old one? Most places around
here add at least 3 quid for that.

Hence the appearance of two old tyres dumped last week on a
grass verge at the trading estate where I work.
Cheaper than paying £6 to get rid of them.
The message is clear.
When you need new tyres, take the old ones away, and covertly
dump them.
Why pay £3 a tyre when there's a cheaper alternative
Mike.

Yup, this is something that really ****es me off. Especially when the
council tip will take them for nowt (as long as you don't go too
frequently or in an obviously commercial vehicle).
Having said that, leaving them on a verge isn't as bad as the *******s
who throw them off cliffs or into bits of the countryside whether
they're hard to retrieve.

Had the first one for ages the other day - which scrapped the tyre as it
was just above the shoulder on the side wall. No idea what caused it as it
was on the inside of the tyre. It went down very rapidly. The tyres were
all near new too. I'd bought them mail order and got five - but not used
the 5th one as the spare is perfect.

£10 inc VAT/Valve/balancing/disposal at my local ATS last year.
