Sorry if you've heard this request before. I have tried to find a
suitable site that would enable me to just enter my requirements
on-line and it would come up with list of likely candidates for my
ideal car, but such was not to be.
Anyway,

I'm looking to replace my existing car (a big, heavy Jag) with
something a bit more fun to drive! Jags are all very well but they
don't go around corners any sense and I'm fed up with having the

arse
slide out all the time.
I'm looking for the following qualities:

Not bothered about fuel economy.
Not bothered about price.
Not bothered about super, super-fast performace and 0-60 times.
Not bothered about age of model
Not bothered about prestige issues or avoiding any particular

marque.
No brand loyalty involved to any other make or nationality of car

OTOH:

Am concerned with *driveability*
Am concerned with precise handling
Am concerned with having a perky, responsive engine
Am concerned with still having a smooth ride, notwithstanding the
great handling - active suspension, perhaps?
Am concerned with *reliablitity* and that if a few service interval
get overlooked, it's not going to cause major problems. (I'm very
forgetful)

Porsche make great cars that you are looking for.

Benz SL 55 talk about drivability, handling, and engine,

Also look at the new Nissan 350Z track edition.

Evan

Of course, for the *ultimate* driving experience, the answer is Lotus Elise
every time. It makes a Boxter feel vague by comparison
