Hi - my fine astra 1.6 is up for MOT come the end of July, and I'm a
bit worried about whether the pass will be affected by my bumper. I
caught ice in the winter and pranged the front corner - wing has been
replaced but the bumper is basically held on with a couple of cable
ties on the passenger side, and overhangs noticeably. Will this
affect passing the MOT?

Not if the cable ties have been trimmed back nice and neatly.

As long as there's no sharp edges and it's secure, no.

Doesn't sound too secure, cable ties etc....

Cheers
