MOT Inspection Appeals by Nom

MOT Inspection Appeals by Nom
"Driver" wrote in message ... There is no "fault" at all with the car - the emissions test results are well within the acceptable limits for a non cat-equipped car... No such thing. The limits are for pre and post 1993. Yours is post 1993, so it needs to pass the stricter emissions test. Whether it has a Cat or not,...

Parts CD rom Toyota and Mazda by CHAP.
Maybe a bit off topic (not as much as some of the stuff on here lately) I am wanting parts CD ROM's for Mazda and Toyota vehicles for vehicles around 1990 to 1999. I don't need Euro/UK spec vehicles just Japanese spec ones. If anyone knows where I can get one please contact me, I have tried to bribe the parts man at our local Mazda and Toyota dealers without success. TIA Dave.

MOT Inspection Appeals by Bystander
I own a Vauxhall Senator 24valve, C30SE engine (for those in the know), with a logbook stating first use of Mar 1993. What a superb car! I put 150,000 miles on a 12v Senator about 10 years ago, and it was the nicest car I have ever had. I now have an Omega, but it hasn't got the same class. I can't see anything worse than no MoT (which is not endorseable, and which does not invalidate...

Address of commisioner for "free trade"? by Paul D.Smith
Can someone point me at the office in the EU that promotes free trade within Europe? I ask because my insurer (Direct Line) has just slapped a "we'll replace it but only if sourced in the UK) clause on my insurance. This doesn't affect me (only applies to new cars and mine is now 3 years old) but sounds very suspect to me. If there is also a UK government department, then their address would...

UK classics in NZ by Classic Car Fair
If this spam, suitable chastisement may be considered or rejected, but we have just arranged the sale of a Peugeot in NZ to a UK couple holidaying here from a fortnight on, among others. Numerous British cars survive in fine order over here, some parked at http://www.classiccarfair.com/ Cheers

The www.SharedInterests.co.uk website is offering free advertising to UK businesses for a limited time (until the end of October 2003), active on the site for at least three months. Is Smart Alfa a scam? by a customer
You will get your car eventually. Expect to WAIT 2 OR 3 MONTHS AFTER the date Smart Alfa promise you to receive your car. Their after-sales service is crap. They have to follow through stuff re guarantee, etc. You are on your own here.

Buying a new car by Sharon
Before you do, go to www.storydata.com and click on the picture of the Honda Insight. they have a really cool graphical applet that allows you to compare fuel economy in every car tested by the Department of Energy. With gas prices at an all time high, it really pays to compare.
