Two questions about European cars in the UK by antgel
Hi all, 1. Is it still the case that large savings on the price of new cars can be had by buying them from European dealerships and then registering them here? I know that, say, five years ago, this was true, but was wondering if the new car market here has "normalised". 2. If my friend who lives in an EU country moves here, how long can he keep driving round on his foreign plates? Are there...

Micronetshowroom:latest sucker by DrAndrew
That's me! Ordered a Skoda Octavia almost 14 weeks ago and began to smell a rat when dates and things started changing. Phoned up the company and initially spoke to Helen Salt and got a very strange reception. Then I did some research "micronetshowroom reviews" into google. That turned up some interesting reading such as this message board!

Micronetshowroom Land Rover by moonman2
Does anybody know who supplies Micronetshowroom with Land Rovers. It would appear that I am yet another victim of the classic Micronetshowroom run around !!! I was promised my vehicle on 28th January, and like a fool paid the final balance on 18th January. There then followed the classic series of excuses for further delays. Believe it or not, but I actually had my hopes raised when David Loach...

Micronet Showroom-can they be trusted? by Clint Fairburn
Dear All, this is urgent as I have placed an order with Micronet Showroom and I just discovered all the bad press about them! The last entries on this website are from 2001 and 2002...Does anyone have a more recent experience with them? I'm desparate to find out more, please help. Needless to say, I'll feed back my own experience in due course.

Micronetshowrooms by matrix
I too was the latest scam of Micronet showrooms about 3 months ago. Got scammed into fantastic deal for a Cayenne paid in full after expecting fast 14 day delivery, saw this website by mistake and related to all excuses (will arrive in few days, every week was the same) and lies by David. Drove to Nottingham next morning (after reading this forum) and asked for all my money back there and...

Top-car.com by matrix
After being the latest scam victim of the micronetcriminals.com i found another company called top-car.com, has anybody used them or know of them? They seem to be more reliable as you dont need to place a deposit until you have seen the car that you want, ie they import the car before you pay a penny, seems to good to be true! They can have most cars in the UK within a week if the car you...

A New Car Deal that cannot be beaten! Not MicroNet! by WindyM
If you look back through the posts you will see that I did pay a deposit to MicroNet for a new car but got my money back. In short, I now have a brand new VW Passat Estate 1.9TDI 130BHP for £3K less than list. I got it from new-car-deal.co.uk and I cannot recommend Terry Gilroy enough. You pay your deposit but not the balance until you have inspected the vehicle. The car was delivered in less...

MicroNet by WindyM
We ordered a new VW Passat via Micronet and paid the deposit on Friday am. We received an email from someone advising us of this website. We read all the MicroNet posts and felt sick with worry that we had lost £500. We immediately emailed Richard Loach and advised we wished to cancel under the Distance Selling Regulations. After an exchange of emails he said he would refund fully our...

Anyone here have a Mazda Bongo? What problems have you had? What about alternatives. I'm looking for a camper/dayvan conversion but the UK campers are way too expensive. Ideas please. Thanks, Floyd -- http://www.smellyhound.com

Micronet Showroom. Excellent. by Sean
I stumbled across this newsgroup quite accidentally. After reading a few threads I thought I would share my views on Micronet Showroom & offer a more "subjective balance." I phoned around for the best price for a new Kia Sorento 2.5 XS . Micronet mentioned they could deliver within three weeks. I paid my deposit, a week later they confirmed the registration details, I transferred the...
