Firstly, don't **** about with follow-ups, it's bad form to ask a
question in one group and to set follow-ups to another.

The answer depends on the car. Some had terrible RHD conversions with
long linkages for the pedals and steering which introduced a vague
feeling to all the controls. Some early Alfas were notably different in
feel between LHD and RHD versions and that coupled with low production
volume meant that some performance versions were offered only as LHD.


MK1 Golf GTI famously had a linkage all the way from the brake pedal on the
RHS to the servo on the LHS...

don't buy Euro or USA then.

All Japanese and Native UK cars are RHD by design and messed up for
LHD. Native UK desgins are few and far between as the GM and Ford
offerings are designed in Europe.

If it's FWD/AWD it hardly matters but.

Punto SX has crap clutch pedal foot rest, it's lower than pedal or
pedal is too high and gap between pedal and centre consol is too
narrow for my foot to fit. May be OK for a ladies size 5 but I think
even they will scuff/mark shoes on bottom/edge of pedal rubber and car
will be cussed to hell for that. With my size 11 boats, I had to lift
foot off pedal and heel off floor, move foot back and then forward
under pedal to get to rest, to use clutch lift heel, move foot back
away from pedals and then up onto pedal, plant heel.

My car I just pivot foot on heel between rest and pedal, exactly right
placement. Have to suspect that LHD is not so good, it has big warm
bulge in floor next to trans tunnel just in front of seat on LH for
cat. It's going to warm up drivers RH leg, passenger in RHD can avoid
it by twisting legs away but not LHD driver, leg has to go right over
warm bit to reach accelerator pedal.
