I'm in Brazil & thinking about buying some Kombis from VWs Sao Paulo
plant & shipping them back to the UK. The only problem I have is that
I can't find the right person to talk to at VW Brazil...
Can anyone help?

Thanks

I thought they had stopped making them as I saw in a few magazines that the
people importing them back in to the UK had got some of the last ones and
that was a few months ago now. Also check how your going to get them
registered re SVA ETC, it might not be as simple as you think. Also I see a
lot of people looking at these thinking "I want one" but when they drive
them and realise they are still as bad as they were years ago the nostalgic
feelings diminish. I know a guy that bought one with is heart not his brain
and has regretted since.

Re last e-mail, turns out I was wrong ! if you go on VW Brazil website they
now list the Kombi with a 1.4i water cooled engine. Works out about £8000
plus shipping duty and vat, should be around £12k back here then roof on
conversion your looking at £20k.

Not really worth it ????? also why did they not stick a 1.6/1.8 or 2.0
engine in it ?
