I've had excellent service from what was the London Stainless Steel
Exhaust company - but I think now uses a different name.

They are located in railway arches in Queenstown Road, Battersea, at the
northern end. They do all the fabrication on the premises, and were very
helpful with repairs and adjustments to my system which they didn't make.

As a matter of interest what sort of money would I expect to pay for a
complete system in stainless steel for a Mercedes C220? Also is it possible
to get what I would call a quiet system as opposed to these throaty roar
types?

Can't help there

Yes - although stainless steel seems to let more noise out through the
walls of the pipes. You sometimes have to bind it with heat proof
insulation on the downpipes.

Yes you can get a quiet exhaust not all of us are boy racers.

For our Toyota prices have be quoted from the 300ukp to around 650ukp.

Still waiting for some to get back and have a couple of calls to make.

Just the downpipes, not the entire length?

The noise seems to come mainly from bends, and the downpipes usually have
the biggest one. But of course my experience isn't based on every car.
