Default Nissan Largo Owners where are you?

Hi,

I am a Nissan Largo owner in the UK.

I have a 2.0 TD 2 WD SX.G Plus.

Are there are any other Nissan Largo owners in the UK?

For the rest of you around the world I need some assistance.

I am trying to locate the Car Manual (User Guide) that came with the
vehicles, if they Nissan did them.
I see online that there are lots of Nissan Largo's in Russia with super
looking specifications.

I know that Workshop manuals are not available in English yet and I have
been quoted 20,000 yen and they a fat workshop manuals.

Does anyone have anything available that is useable online or contact's at
Nissan who may be able to help?

Spare Parts Contacts for Nissan Largo as well because I need a replacement
facia for the Cigar Lighter Panel as the hooks on mine are snapped.

Any hints on fixing this panel?

I will look forward to any response.

Many thanks

David

I have a Nissan Largo campervan, 2.0TD auto twin air-con, airbag, ABS,
alloys 1996 I got handbook from
http://www.jpnz.co.nz/home.html all the ones in Russia are the used imports
from Japan.

The Nissan Largo is good but the Mazda Bongo SGL which is around the same
size but far more room inside is better.

Cheers Chap.

Hi David, I own a Nissan Largo Highway Star, had a few problems with it after only 3 weeks of purchase, My son borrowed it for the day and managed to cook the engine and ceased it, had a bit of a job getting a replacement engine as there are about 4 with the code CD20 that were produced in 1996, we fixed the problem by building on engine out of the two, when taking the housing off the engine centre consul we managed to break the clips on the cigarette lighter panel same as yours we stuck that it back with silicone and it has held up to now, I purchased a set of 15" alloy wheels for it off ebay 5 spoke Daura wheels but there are 2 centre caps missing and I am having great difficulty trying to get some so if you have any ideas where I can get some I would be very grateful, what I found about the 15" alloys with 205x65 tyres the revs have dropped a lot at 60mph its just under 2,250 revs, also had a problem after replacing engine the car would not start in the morning and when it eventually started would only get to 2,000 revs I searched every where in the Norh West of England and North Wales where I live and could not find any one who could do a diagnosis, not even Nissan, no one had the computer connection, in the end I found some one who is on Anglesey who managed to do a diagnosis and found it was the water temp switch replaced that from Nissan main dealer Chester and cross fingers I have not had any further problems, there is a guy on ebay who is selling parts for the Largo and he does have Dash parts on sale at this very moment, hope you get it fixed soon, regards Bill.

Hi i have just got myself one of these and its great but i like the rest of you am having difficulty in getting hold of a workshop manual. i know you can get an owners manual from japautoparts for about £20. i have asked a few people on ebay who are seeling manuals on cd to see if they can get hold of a nissan largo one. Incidently does anyone know how difficult it is to change the cam belt on them?
As far as body styling goes i agree that they do look very good on the largo. mine has been lowered has the skirts spoiler etc. i have had to take the front bumper/skirt off as it keeps catching on my drive all it needs now is some wheels oh and a decent stereo/speakers but they will be in next week,
i shall keep you informed and upto date and fingers crossed somebody somewhere may be able to get a manual.

Hi Paul,
i think the owners club would be a great idea just for the simple reason that everyone will have different info to share which can only be a good thing. i have been doing some digging round and most companies including nissan will get you parts. However i am after some clear side repeaters but im not going to pay the prices some people want on ebay so i,ll just have to keep searching. As far as wheels go do you know if 17s will fit ok as at the moment i just cant make the decision between 16 or 17s. the ride is fairly hard anyway as its been dropped. hopefully this weekend will see the audio come together fingers crossed as im fed up of listening to radio2. Im also in north west. and im still waiting for a owners handbook but i cant find anywhere that has a repair manual but i do belive the engines are from the old almeras primeras is that true?

cheers alan

hi ajones the ET if you could cut a wheel down the centre and look at it from the side the ETis the distance from the stud surface that goes on to the drum face to the centre of the wheel rim on the largo the ET is 38 but you can fit an ET35 to ET42 max but the normal is ET38 as this centres the wheel and tyre between the whell arch and the strut, so the wheel is 4x114.3 and a ET38 then the size of wheel you want 15 16 17 inches
because of this info halfords wanted £600 on a set they have for £425 for other cars but there are some good deals to be had from £300 to £500 try ebay on the wheels section and put in and search 114 and you get about 40 wheels hope this is of help to you
