Default Nissan Largo Owners where are you?

hello alan ,
its great news that people are getting a website going for the
largo, count me in.
the wheels i have had fitted i bought from tyresave in deeside on
friday, they cost £340 complet with tyres, they look good, i would
have liked the bigger wheels 17" but i didnt want the hard ride, as im
taking the largo to spain to leave there!. i had a major service on it
including all new brakes shoes/pads all new belts oil and filter
changes and a few odd jobs done on it, the guy i used is an engineer
and it shows the largos going really well, however i need a middle box
and nissan want the earth for it so ive done a bit of digging around
best price so far is £300 for a middle and back sections made in
stainless looks like im getting it done. im in liverpool so if any one
wants the fone numbers of the people iv used please contact me and ill
pass the details on, my email address is .
lan iv heard that the largo is based on the nissan bluebird and the
almera ? confussed,i also heard that the engine block is the same as
the toyota estima ? im totally lost !. as for the owners manual i have
the jap one but cant understand it, if you get the workshop manual
please let me know as i would like one. do you know when the largo site
will be up and running ?

regards paul

Hi Paul,
i think the owners club would be a great idea just for the simple
reason that everyone will have different info to share which can only
be a good thing. i have been doing some digging round and most
companies including nissan will get you parts. However i am after some
clear side repeaters but im not going to pay the prices some people
want on ebay so i,ll just have to keep searching. As far as wheels go
do you know if 17s will fit ok as at the moment i just cant make the
decision between 16 or 17s. the ride is fairly hard anyway as its been
dropped. hopefully this weekend will see the audio come together
fingers crossed as im fed up of listening to radio2. Im also in north
west. and im still waiting for a owners handbook but i cant find
anywhere that has a repair manual but i do belive the engines are from
the old almeras primeras is that true?

cheers alan

hi alan yes 17 inch wheels will fit just check tyre size like 205s and check the et is right for the largo it is ET38 but you can use anything between ET35 TO ET42 MAX

iam at the moment looking for wheels what does the et38 mean? and do you
know where i can get any clear side repeaters? thanks alan

hi ajones the ET if you could cut a wheel down the centre and look at
it from the side the ETis the distance from the stud surface that goes
on to the drum face to the centre of the wheel rim on the largo the ET
is 38 but you can fit an ET35 to ET42 max but the normal is ET38 as
this centres the wheel and tyre between the whell arch and the strut,
so the wheel is 4x114.3 and a ET38 then the size of wheel you want 15
16 17 inches
because of this info halfords wanted £600 on a set they have for £425
for other cars but there are some good deals to be had from £300 to
£500 try ebay on the wheels section and put in and search 114 and you
get about 40 wheels hope this is of help to you

I am going to be passing tyresave within the next 2 weeks so,ill call in and see what they have to offer in the way of alloys. has anyone got a hand book yet ? also i have been speking to someone and they seem to think that this engine was also used in the nissan tx1 black cab??? does anyone else know if this is true? last but not least does anyone know how much it will cost to have the cam belt done?
